Kokuvil Hindu's S. Rahulan Best Cricketer in Jaffna District - 15/12/2009.
Srilanka's Cricket Board selected four best players from the schools of North-East of Srilanka. S. Rahulan of KHC was selected as the best bowler. Selected players will be given training at Dambulle. Lakshitha Madumal was selected from Trincomalee District. S. Sanjeev and N. Prasath were selected from Batticoloa District.

In an under 13 cricket match that took place at Jaffna St. Johns College playground KHC won the host by innings. Linganathan of KHC took 9 wickets in both innings.
Kokuvilites batted first and scored 148 runs (Kirishanth 32, Panthiban 22 and
Keerthigan 12)
In reply St Johns College scored on 35 runs. KHC's Linganathan took 4 wickets
for 6 runs and Majurathasan took 3 wickets for 5 runs and forced a follow on.
In the second innings St. Johns scored 45 runs. Linganathan took 5 wickets for 16 runs and Parthiban took 2 wickets for 9 runs.
Miss R. Samsuja of Kokuvil Central Community Centre won 3rd place in the 5000
meter race conducted among the various sports clubs in Jaffna District.
